About us

About us. Kite Magnetics story began at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Monash University in Melbourne. Aeroperm™ was co-developed by Dr Richard Parsons and Prof. Kiyonori Suzuki in 2018. In 2022 Kite Magnetics officially spun out from Monash University and started developing a new class of electric motors for electric aircraft.

Our mission is to create the world’s most powerful zero-emission electric motors that positively impact the future of air travel.

Kite Magnetics team of experts brings together a wealth of experience and passion for electric propulsion technology, materials engineering, design, manufacturing, and certification allowing us to create groundbreaking products for the aviation industry.

2018
