The journey began in 2016 when founder and CEO Richard Parsons co-developed the nanocrystalline motor/generator core technology Aeroperm® at Monash University. This breakthrough led to a provisional patent for Aeroperm® in 2019.
Backed by leading venture capital firms, including the Victorian State Government 2B sovereign wealth fund, Kite Magnetics was officially founded in 2021. Kite has continued its rapid progress, culminating in the 2024 focus on advancing its technology in Automotive, Transport, and Off-Highway applications, allowing electric vehicles of all sizes to travel further and carry more.
Richard is a world leader in nanocrystalline magnetic materials, having co-developed Aeroperm™, a pioneering technology that drastically enhances electric motor efficiency and performance.
With over a decade of experience at Monash University and Kite Magnetics, Dr. Parsons possesses deep technical knowledge of electric motor technology, expertly bridging advanced material science with practical applications and revolutionizing what can be achieved in the field.
An accomplished innovator in zero-emission systems and technology commercialization, Glenn has successfully led groundbreaking projects in power systems, scaled
manufacturing of electric commercial vehicles, and played a pivotal role in advancing high-performance vehicle engineering and design.
Kite Magnetics develops and manufactures nanocrystalline stator cores with extremely low core losses that are specifically designed for electric motors in transportation applications. We have developed the techniques to produce these advanced stator cores and are now focused on scaling production to meet the stringent quality control standards of global automakers.
Our mission is to bring this innovative solution to market as quickly as possible, enabling lighter, more efficient, and more powerful electric motors across the automotive, transport, and off-highway industries.
